Vodacom Bulls

The Blue Bulls Rugby Union was founded in 1938 and the Bulls franchise entered Super Rugby at its inception in 1996. After early struggles, the Bulls became the dominant force in Super Rugby between 2007 and 2010, winning three titles in four years under coach Frans Ludeke and with a squad built around Springbok stalwarts. Their 2009 and 2010 back-to-back titles were achieved with a brand of forward-dominated, physically imposing rugby that became their trademark.

Loftus Versfeld — their home in Pretoria — became one of the most feared venues in world rugby during this era, with the Bulls' home record among the best of any team in the southern hemisphere. After joining the United Rugby Championship following South Africa's move from Super Rugby, the Bulls won the URC title in 2022–23, defeating Munster in the final and confirming their status as one of the premier clubs in world rugby. They remain a cornerstone of Springbok rugby and a club that produces world-class forwards with remarkable consistency.

Blue and white — the Bulls' colours are clean, bold, and deeply associated with Pretoria and the Highveld. The royal blue shirt has been worn since the franchise's earliest years and is one of the most recognisable in South African rugby.
