Historie
Founded in 2004 as one of the A-League's inaugural clubs, Sydney FC quickly established themselves as the competition's powerhouse. They won the first-ever A-League championship in 2006 and have gone on to claim six more titles, making them the most decorated club in the league's history.
Their 2016-17 season is widely regarded as the greatest in A-League history — an unbeaten regular season followed by a dominant finals campaign. Under Graham Arnold and later Steve Corica, Sydney FC built a dynasty that redefined standards in Australian football. The club has also attracted major international names, including Alessandro Del Piero, whose two seasons at the club captured the imagination of the entire country.
