Historie
Founded in 1928, Sligo Rovers have been a consistent presence in the League of Ireland and are the most successful club in Connacht. They won their most recent league title in 2012 under manager Ian Baraclough, ending a 35-year wait for championship glory and sparking enormous celebrations across the west of Ireland.
Sligo Rovers have also competed in European football on multiple occasions and are known for their passionate, loyal fanbase that travels in large numbers to support the Bit O'Red. The Showgrounds, their historic home in the heart of Sligo town, is one of the most atmospheric grounds in Irish football and a beloved landmark for the local community.
