Historie
The Netherlands revolutionised football in the 1970s with Total Football — a fluid, intelligent system where every player could play in any position. Johan Cruyff led them to the 1974 World Cup final, where they lost narrowly to West Germany in one of the tournament's most celebrated matches despite being widely regarded as the better side.
A European Championship followed in 1988, with Marco van Basten's stunning volley in the final against the Soviet Union one of the greatest goals ever scored. The Netherlands reached a third World Cup final in 2010, losing to Spain in extra time. More recently they reached the Euro 2024 semi-finals, with a new generation led by Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo keeping the Oranje tradition alive.

Bright orange — one of the most distinctive and joyful colours in world football. The Netherlands' home kit is instantly recognisable and the orange wave of their supporters is one of the great sights at any major tournament. Bold, vibrant, and unmistakably Dutch.
Their Nike kits are among the most popular international shirts in Europe, and the orange of Oranje is a colour that carries the weight of Total Football history and some of the game's greatest players.
