Historie
Founded in 1904, Exeter City have spent most of their history in the lower leagues of English football, but they've always punched above their weight. One of their most famous moments came in 1914 when they toured South America and played against Brazil — a match widely considered to be Brazil's first ever international fixture.
In 2003, the club was taken over by the Exeter City Supporters' Trust, making them one of the first fan-owned clubs in English football. Since then they've rebuilt from the Conference, won promotion back to the Football League, and established themselves as a model for sustainable, community-led football. The Grecians have become one of the most admired clubs outside the top two divisions.
