Historie
Founded in 1900, Espanyol are one of Spain's oldest clubs and have spent the vast majority of their history in La Liga. They reached the UEFA Cup final in 1988 and again in 2007, losing on penalties on both occasions — a painful record that speaks to their ability to compete at the highest level without the ultimate reward.
Espanyol have won four Copa del Rey titles and produced numerous Spanish internationals over the decades. Currently competing in La Liga 2, the club's ambition remains firmly focused on returning to the top flight, where their passionate support and strong identity belong.
